Juliet Wood makes paintings and oil pastels from drawings, often fast and incomplete but always directly observed. Her work expresses human life and interaction, and the poignancy of what is so often seen yet unspoken.

A major retrospective with new work was shown in 2019 at the Bankside Gallery, London. Her portraits are in many public and private collections throughout the UK. Juliet has published two books about her work.
